A Brief Historical Synopsis of West Falls Christian Community Church

On March 23,1986, Rev. Richard Jackson founded West Falls Christian Community Church. The church began services at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Richard Jackson at 634 West Watersville Road in Mt Airy, Maryland. With a congregation of ten people, the little church embarked on a task of finding a building to have services. Lead by Rev. Jackson, the congregation was blessed by God with a small vacant church located on Buffalo Rd in Mt. Airy, MD. The church had been vacant for six years. Rev. Jackson and this small congregation worked diligently for three years improving the church and making repairs. The next five years God began to bless the church in many ways. New members started pouring in and a choir was formed. It was becoming very evident that God was going to do great things at this church.

Facing the latter years of his life and a very ill wife Rev. Jackson began to pray to God for some type of relief from the job of being a pastor. Little did he know, God would call his very own son to preach, and eventually take over the church. On November 7,1993 Rev. Ross M. Jackson was installed as Pastor of West Falls Christian Community Church. Today the church is growing rapidly, and many souls have been saved as a result of its existence.
